The Butterfield Park District offers swim lessons
in water safety and stroke work. Students will be
tested the first day of lessons and placed into one
of five skill levels. Students are taught the skills
they need to progress into successful swimmers.

Private lessons providing one-on-one instruction.
The lesson is 30 minutes and are offered
during open swim. Purchase individual lessons

If you are a participant in the Butterfifi eld Park
District "Learn to Swim" program you can take
advantage of free practice time on June 16- August 11 Sa

Would you like another opportunity to perfect
those swimming strokes? Taught by the Butterfi
eld Bullfrog Swim Team Coaches, the clinics
offer additional swim time to work on your
strokes. Each week we will be focusing on a
different stroke. You can sign-up for individual
clinics or all of them.

Little Swimmers lessons teach your children
basic water safety in a fun way. It is also a
great way for parents to work together with
their child under instructor supervision. Through
games and activities we make this experience
fun so children learn to enjoy the water.. One
child per parent. Children must wear water
pants. 18-months to 3-years

Attention all future lifeguards ages 11-15! You
will learn aquatic safety skills, water rescue,
rescue breathing, CPR, fi rst-aid, and scanning
techniques. You will receive practical experience
working with an on-duty lifeguard. This
class includes fi ve days of training and a Junior
Lifeguard T-shirt. Note: participants will not be
certifi ed as lifeguards.

Introduction to Diving
Learn the basic mechanics of diving in a low
instructor-to-child ratio. This program is designed
for children who can swim the length of the
pool, are comfortable jumping off the diving
board, and enjoy swimming in the deep end of
the pool. 6-12 years
9:00-9:30 am $30/35 Intermediate Diving
Take your skills to the next level. Students will
be taught a variety of dives: Front, back, halftwist
back, and half-twist inward. Participants
must feel comfortable with basic diving and
have prior experience to take this class. 8 years - over
9:45-10:30 am $40/50 Advanced Diving
This class will assist and hone your skills and
prepare you for competitive diving. *Must have
completed intermediate diving or receive approval
from instructor to enroll in this course. 8 years - over
