Hoffman Park is a large community park that is made up of land owned by the Butterfield Park District, School District 44 & a ComED easement. The park currently contains a playground, tennis court, pond, multi-use athletic fields & parking. Most of these elements are past their life cycle and are not ADA accessible.
The OSLAD Grant application for Hoffman Park seeks to re-design the park with some similar elements that currently reside in the park and add in some new items that will be unique to Hoffman Park as well as the Butterfield Park District.
Design Perspectives, Inc. of Naperville, is currently working on conceptual designs for the park and will present these designs at the first series of public meetings on Thursday, May 6th and Saturday, May 8th. Resident input is highly desired and we look forward to hearing your ideas.
