Glenbriar Park Phase III Construction

1.30.24

The building demo and land clearing work is completed. We have cleared the brush and opened additional open space on the north side of the park. This area will be used for additional programming for passive recreation. The 2nd phase of the border fence project is out to bid and will be completed by the end of spring. It will connect to the existing fence along RT 53 and continue along the golf course service drive and terminate at northeast entrance of the park near the tennis courts. This fence will be lined with pine trees similar to what currently exists on Butterfield Rd. The OSLAD grant portion of this project is the final stage of the Glenbriar Park improvements. It will add the following recreational amenities: basketball courts, additional paved walking trails, a sledding hill, pickleball courts, a Gaga pit, and additional parking. This portion of the project is currently out to bid and is scheduled to be completed by the end of fall 2024. If you have questions about this or any other park district project, please contact me at mhixenbaugh@butterfieldpd.com. Thank you.
